An educator and a Flipkart seller, Aditya Patel had a childhood shaped by modest means and unwavering family values. “My father was a sports teacher at a government school. His salary wasn’t that much and we faced many financial challenges,” he says. However, he was provided an environment where education remained constant despite frequent moves over decades.
“Up until the 10th grade, I did not like mathematics at all, which is why I chose the science stream for 11th and 12th grade. However, when I started preparing for competitive exams, I discovered that math is quite fascinating,” he says.
It was then that he discovered a new way to engage with math. Shortcuts, tricks, and practical problem-solving piqued his curiosity and gradually turned his greatest weakness into a passion. After graduating and completing an MBA through distance learning, Aditya entered the world of teaching.
What started as a means to support his family soon grew into a genuine enthusiasm for guiding others. He joined a local institute, initially working with one or two students, before taking on entire classrooms of exam aspirants. Gaining the trust of his pupils, many of whom were older than himself, Aditya developed a unique reputation for simplifying complex concepts. Read his story.
Pursuing Passion and Purpose: Building an Educational Legacy
In 2013, Aditya faced a decision that confronts many young people in India: choosing between secure employment and the pursuit of personal ambition. “I secured my first full-time government job in November 2013 as an Administrative Officer at LIC,” he says.
This position promised stability, but it did not fulfil his deeper purpose. “I had received 10 to 12 selections for government jobs. Teaching, however, was my passion, and I wanted to share my experience because I had struggled a lot without any guidance, a good environment, or a reputable institute. I thought I should share this knowledge with students and pursue what I love,” he adds.
During his posting in a remote part of Chhattisgarh, he began teaching local students without charge. “I worked in a place where few people were aware of government jobs or their opportunities. Yet, students secured selections and obtained good government positions once I started teaching them,” Aditya explains.

Over a single year, his classes grew from a handful of learners to more than a thousand. He charged little to no fees, instead saving his job earnings, determined to establish something lasting.
By 2016, Aditya had accumulated enough savings to take his next leap of faith. “In 2017, I returned to Indore. After approximately six months of preparation, I started my own institute – The WiNNERS Institute.
This was like starting from zero again. I had no reputation or established identity in Indore. The initial days were like my earlier teaching experience: one student on the first day, two on the second. It took several months to build momentum, but soon, a good number of students started enrolling,” recalls Aditya.
Today, his institute enjoys a reputation as one of Madhya Pradesh’s foremost educational institutions, reaching students both offline and online. Aditya’s extensive YouTube audience and a dedicated educational mobile app no doubt aid in his success.
From Textbooks to Tech: Innovations in Learning
Aditya’s passion was to go beyond traditional teaching. He envisaged making exam preparation straightforward and anxiety-free. Traditional textbooks, with their lengthy, formulaic approaches, often alienated students.
“In 2018, I began the process of creating our own educational books. I created almost all the questions and developed the entire tricky explanation style. I can confidently say that 95% of the solutions provided in our books use purely shortcut methods, enabling students to find answers in seconds.
This was quite a challenging endeavor. It is easy to write out traditional, step-by-step methods, but the difficulty lies in explaining complex tricks and shortcuts in such a clear way that a student can easily learn and apply them,” Aditya explains.
The mathematics book he authored incorporated QR codes, providing students with quick access to video tutorials on YouTube that explained each concept in detail. This innovation was among the first of its kind for Indian learners.
The expansion of his publishing work soon resulted in over one hundred book titles, all developed and managed in-house with a team of more than one hundred educators and content specialists.
Recognizing the e-commerce’s extensive reach and logistical strengths, Aditya became a Flipkart seller and listed his books on the platform in 2019. Initial sales were steady, but the real shift came in 2024.
“By 2024, we recognized that to achieve substantial sales and truly reach a wider student base, relying solely on our own app would restrict our scale. Therefore, starting last year, we strategically began focusing on external platforms, particularly Flipkart. We have been working with Flipkart very aggressively, and over the past six to seven months, we have seen excellent results and significant sales growth,” Aditya explains.
“Once we achieved good sales volume, we became closely associated with Flipkart’s specialized marketing and sales teams, further amplifying our reach and success,” he adds.
This ensured an enhanced presence, which culminated in over ₹70 lakh in book sales during the Big Billion Days event alone.
The institute’s two-storey publishing centre and central warehouse stand as testaments to Aditya’s insistence on quality, innovation, and direct access for students. With Flipkart’s widespread reach, Aditya has been able to impact students far beyond Indore – supporting aspirations in both remote areas and metropolitan centres. His approach continues to demystify mathematics, promoting a positive and practical attitude towards learning.
Empowering Learners: Realizing the Flipkart Seller’s Educational Vision

Though Aditya’s career achievements as an educator and a Flipkart seller are considerable, he draws his greatest satisfaction from changing lives – first, for his family, and now for thousands of students.
“After decades in rented accommodation, I have now purchased a home for my parents, fulfilling a long-held promise. My wife and two children provide the motivation and joy that inspire my work,” Aditya says.
“My institute now employs over 100 teachers and staff, delivering more than 250 live lectures daily. Our offline presence is in two Indore branches of 40,000 sq. ft., but our online resources reach millions nationwide,” he adds.
Through continual innovation, affordable education, and a focus on practical results, Aditya aims to broaden educational access and opportunity for as many learners as possible.
Aditya attributes much of his recent success as a Flipkart seller, noting that every book sold represents the possibility of transforming a student’s relationship with learning.
“In every success story, there lies the courage to begin. My journey from self-doubt in mathematics to helping others overcome their fears is proof that with the right support and mindset, anything is possible,” says Aditya.
